We're looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee the financial health of the organization. They will provide financial leadership by managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, conducting forecast analysis, and maximizing the company’s use of government incentives and grants. As a member of the Executive Team, the Director - Finance shall participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the organization and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets
  • Report regularly on the company's key financial metrics for internal and board stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit grant applications or renewals to various government organizations
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with the company’s bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations
  • Develop and maintain adherence to the company’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting
  • Facilitate and oversee all audits of the company's financial records
  • Lead and supervise the finance department's staff on accounting, reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and other financial matters
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term financial plans and forecasts in accordance with business goals and objectives
  • Investigate variances in budgets, reporting, internal controls, and general accounting; deploy measures to resolve variances
  • Provide financial analysis to support the needs of different departments
  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance; an MBA, CPA or CMA designation is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience at an executive level in a finance role
  • Extensive experience preparing financial reporting, maintaining internal controls and working with automated accounting systems and online banking
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet programs and preparing budgets for large distributed organizations
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
