  • Participate in creating new advanced sports metrics
  • Translate raw data into useful metrics and visualizations
  • Synthesise tracking data into understandable metrics
  • Develop and run recurring and adhoc client reports                                                                                                 
  • Research and create advanced models and metrics
  • Develop automation scripts for reports and metrics visualization                                                                                                       
  • Respond to internal requests for media, sales, and marketing products                                                                
  • Develop metrics, reports, and models into new products for clients                                                                       
  • Perform user research
  • Gather and analyze data for internal and external customers
  • Curate and package content as needed
  • Work with account managers to help with customer requests and inquiries
  • 3 -4 years experience as Data/Business/BI Analyst, preferably within the Sports industry
  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive hockey knowledge and proven hockey analytics work is an asset
  • Ability to synthesise tracking data into understandable metrics
  • Ability to put metrics into production
  • Experience with python and  SQL for Data Science
  • Basic working  knowledge of Machine Learning 
  • Ability to communicate analytic results in a technical and non-technical manner
  • Interest in and ability to interact directly with clients and publicly present methods and findings 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sport-specific knowledge to statistical problems
  • Self-motivated individual who works well as part of a diverse team
  • A willingness to face new challenges and adapt to the needs of stakeholders
  • PHP programming an asset
